Leather care guide
Smooth leather
- Wipe off dust and marks with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
- Apply a leather conditioner every 6–12 months to keep it supple.
- If it gets wet, let it dry naturally at room temperature — never use a hairdryer or radiator.
- Creases soften with wear; for stubborn wrinkles, hang it in a steamy bathroom for 10 minutes.
Suede
- Brush regularly with a suede brush in one direction to lift the nap.
- Use a suede eraser on marks, and a protector spray before first wear.
Shearling
- Brush the wool gently with a wide-tooth comb.
- Store in a breathable cotton garment bag, never plastic.
Odour & storage
Air your jacket out after wearing. Store on a wide, padded hanger in a cool, dry place. For musty smells, leave it in fresh air for a day with a sachet of baking soda in the pockets. For deep cleaning, always use a professional leather specialist.
